As Chief Technology Officer at Brilliqs, my responsibility covers the technology direction of the company and the organisation that delivers it.

The focus sits on decisions that shape the business. Where the investment goes, what gets built in house and what gets bought, how the platform needs to hold up as demand grows and what the roadmap has to look like to support where the company is going in two years, not just this quarter.

The engineering organisation is mine end to end. That means the structure of the teams, the leaders who run them, the standards the group holds itself to and the pace at which work can move without building up debt that becomes impossible to pay back. Technology only counts when it turns into a product a customer wants and a business model that works.

Day to day, that means working with the leadership team on strategy, with product on what goes to market and with partners on where technology creates a real advantage.
